The plastic in your wallet is about to go the way of the typewriter, the VCR and the 8-track tape player - even floppy disk and Zip drives. When it does, a handful of investors could stand to get very rich indeed.
You can join them - but you must act now.
An eye-opening new presentation reveals the full story on why your credit card is about to be worthless - and highlights one little known company sitting at the epicentre of an earth-shaking movement that could hand early investors the kind of profits we haven't seen since the dot-com days.
Rowling! When it was revealed that J.K. Rowling had written a novel under the
pseudonym, Robert Galbraith; I knew I had to read it. Rowling filled my
childhood with magic, intrigue, and beauty with her Harry Potter series
so I was eager to read her sophomore adult novel. It angers me how
Rowling was betrayed by a friend who had revealed that she was the
genius behind The Cuckoo's Calling. Every cloud does have it's silver
lining and now, millions of people will be introduced to a clever
mystery noir. Another silver lining is that Rowling will be donating her
royalties from The Cuckoo's Calling to charity for the next 3 years.
I'm still angered how someone could have betrayed Rowling in such a
cruel manner.

The Cuckoo's Calling is a much stronger novel
than The Casual Vacancy and will definitely appeal to a wider audience
than her adult debut. The Cuckoo's Calling is filled with all of
Rowling's signature wit and charm that readers love. It's extremely
evident from the writing style that Rowling still has the ability to
create a tour de force, a novel that will definitely be looked on fondly
50 years in the future. This novel is a triumphant return for the Queen
of Literature and it proves that J.K's domain and prowess doesn't just
extend to children's literature.

This is an impressive piece of
literature that is filled with immense intrigue and mystery. Albeit the
beginning does have it's faults and is a tad slow-paced, this novel was
extremely riveting. From start to finish, The Cuckoo's Calling does
have it's share of dull moments, but they are overshadowed by the
brilliance of Cormoran Strike. This is the mystery novel that I've been
waiting for!

This novel has all of the star qualities of Stieg
Larsson's novel and BBC's Sherlock. Cormoran actually really reminded me
of Dr. Watson from BBC's Sherlock (Martin Freeman). Maybe it's because
of their military past or that they both are a bit troubled? I really
liked Cormoran, but I thought that he should confront his girlfriend and
move on. I wasn't a huge fan of Robin, Cormoran's secretary because I
never learned too much about her. I really didn't like how Robin put up
with her boyfriend, Matthew (I think) who kept on bossing her around and
Robin didn't really act like anything was wrong with that. The whole
plotline with Robin was extremely predictable right from when she was
interested and was too simplistic.

The mystery in The Cuckoo's
Calling is well-throughout with just enough intrigue to keep me peeled
to the page. I actually had no idea who the killer was throughout the
novel; I had my incorrect suspicions though. I really liked how Rowling
explored the world of the media and celebrities in such an unique and
unusual way. You never really see celebrities as actual people in
novels, they are usually portrayed as these untouchable gods that
ordinary people have to gloat over. The fact that Rowling to decide to
add a layer of vulnerability to Landry, added an interesting touch to
this book.

The Cuckoo's Calling is a novel worthy of immense
praise. I'll admit that the only reason I read this book was because it
was written by Rowling. I'm definitely eagerly awaiting the next instalment in the Comoran Strike series and I can't wait to see what
antics Strike and Robin get into next. Colour me surprised, but I really
enjoyed The Cuckoo's Calling!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-31301585360391271122013-07-01T07:18:00.001-07:002013-07-04T13:52:37.663-07:00Google to Delete all Adult blogsIf you are reading this and have a Blogger blog that is marked as 'Adult', I would suggest you go check that the blog has not already been deleted. Google is doing this under its vague new anti-sex-ad policy purge. As one of those people who have an adult blog, I received an email along with hundreds of thousand other blog owner.

In the email, Google said that all Adult blogs hosted on the once-popular blogger network would be deleted if found to be displaying ads. This is very worrying because it does not clearly define what constitute an 'adult content'. Meaning that anything that they feel unsuitable could fall under 'adult' umbrella.

Autorip CD or Viny record, get the MP3 version for free

Understandably, a lot of people have been very vocal in this latest content cleansing by Google. Ironically, this is also happening on the same day that it finally closes down the Google Reader.

Since Blogger merged with Blogspot a few years ago, the number of people starting up their own blogs went up. There are people whose hobbies range from cat grooming to pubic hair trimming. They are used the platform not only to spread their knowledge and reach out to other people, they also earned a bit of advertising revenue on the side.

What Google now consider as adult content is any blog that features personal diaries, erotic writers, romance book editors and reviewers, sex toy reviewers, art nude photographers, film-makers, artists such as painters and comic illustrators, text-only fiction writers, sex news and porn gossip writers, LGBT sex activism, sex education and information outlets, fetish fashion, feminist porn blogs, and much, much more.

It turns out that some of those blogs had 'adult' label placed on them by Google; and not the owners - which means that they had no control over how they would have classified it. Now, they all face the chops.

My advice is to backup all your blogs that have any sort of adult content on them. There are lots of information out there on how to backup and export your content as XML or JSON. That way you can easily set up a new shop in less to no time at all. The downside is that all the backlinks and subscribers you managed to gain over the years will be lost.

Anyway, it's a shame that it has come to this. A company with almighty powers doing what suites them with very regards for what their users think. In fact, their are people who have been using the service for the last 10 years. All their content, reviews, comments and only friends will be deleted - simply by using someone else's hosted platform.

If this latest move is to stamp out those that are making - they are in fact targeting the wrong people. Adult affiliate links do not pay at all that's why you are not likely to see them on mainstream websites. With freely available homemade content online, more people are less likely to be paying for it in the first place. If like me you like half dressed ladies - then you might have to look elsewhere to satisfy your exotic taste.

So, what is your next option if you?

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-63244796312908562902013-04-16T13:42:00.002-07:002017-04-21T01:15:15.055-07:00Healthy Eating Simply and EasilyI felt compelled to write a review after this top reviewer wrote an outright smear, and have her friends
create accounts on Amazon to boost her ranking. What a despicable, ugly
person. There is no "boiled egg recipe" in this book. Paltrow went
under the knife to remove a tumor, despite the "kk" reviewer's claim
that she freaked out over a migraine.

I'm not sure how such an ugly
person who wrote such an obviously untrue and ugly review is top rated,
but Amazon needs to get their act together and ban these fake accounts
and reviews.

Now for the book itself, the recipes are easy and
not super expensive as suggested. The only two expensive ingredients
I've found are manuka honey and quinoa. If you're interested in
superfoods at all, chances are you already have these in your cupboard,
as I do.

I am a guy who likes to eat good food and I'm not rich. At the
end there several weeks of meals planned out, with page number
references. Each week is customized for different type of person. Some
I can recall off the top of my head: vegetarian, elimination diet,
power gainer (my favorite), and just a normal variety week. The
elimination diet uses juices for breakfast and snacks to keep you
satisfied throughout the day.

It's the most comprehensive and
satisfying meal plan I've seen of it's type. The book is obviously
geared toward women, but I don't care, I just care about the information
provided, which is both easily approachable and fun to read. The book
is also interspersed with various photoshots like you would see in a
Martha Stewart magazine.

It's not all green leaves and raw grains
either. She shares her recipe for a very flavorful and lowfat
tenderloin, which I usually dislike because of the lack of fat, but she
kicks it up a notch.

If you feel like your diet is killing you
and everything is making you sick and nothing seems appetizing, this
book will allow you easily to get the right kind of meals in your daily
life. When you're feeling sick the last thing you need is involved
recipes that take a long time to make. Most of the recipes are 3-5
ingredients and require little time in the kitchen.

I know there are some that need my answer in private, and I will attend to those as well. Receiving your messages and seeing what interest you guys are fascinating. Like I've said countless times already, there are no easier ways to make money online these days than to stick with what works.

I currently use a few channels to promote products online, and by far the best place I would recommend is Hubpage. There are about 16 of my articles on the site and they are doing reasonably well. There are people who have 100s - and are constantly getting paid month after month. So, that shows that the site is still a place to showcase your work. I know this because mine are there as well.

As always, you don't have to be an expert to write on a topic - but it helps if you had an experience in that area. I wrote this small hub on Flat Roof Repair - How to Repair Your Flat Roof over a year ago
and it's constantly pulling in alot of traffic. So, check it out and see how you too could write something similar.

If however, you'd like to see more, I have another one on 4 Guaranteed Ways to Make Money Online - this one is not my favourite but it too is still doing quite well.

Give them a try and hopefully they should inspire you to start making money and pay off those credit card bills.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-27701318598648672492013-04-05T16:17:00.001-07:002013-04-06T05:58:35.757-07:00My Latest Online EarningThis month I hope to do much better than the month of March. So far it's looking like I will double my earning for last month. In total, I made a mere $213.73. This is a bit of a disappointment because I usually make around $400+ with very little effort - so that's why I'm pushing to increase this month's earning and meet my usual target.

Here's a quick break down of where the majority of that earnings came from:

I had a job for a private client for $50 - this took me just over an hour to write up the article. I don't do this as much, but it helps when I get one. Very quick and easy to write 300 words.

Three of my articles on Hubpages are doing quite well. They accounted for $90 of March earning. Not bad for a few articles I wrote a while ago.

Sold a few ebooks on Amazon. This is quite interesting because I only just started selling again after a year's break. Anyway, the income was not for the sales I made in March, but instead it is for the sales I made in January. Amazon usually pay after 60 days of the order.

A few referrals to oDesk netted me some more affiliate income.

There you have it.

So, in an effort to push more, I have been working on two more articles that I will be posting on Hubpages - that is sure to push up my April income much higher than that of March. In fact, if you'd like to see how my articles are written, please click here. There are quite interesting articles that focus on a few interesting stuff that people care about - and in return pays handsomely for some time to come.

Please do come back at the end of the month for my report on April earnings. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-68306189202052395372013-03-11T07:52:00.000-07:002013-03-11T07:52:05.697-07:00Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to LeadMuch more than a "How I did it" book - not that there's anything wrong
with that - but "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead" is so much
more than that. Sheryl Sandberg has been criticized for being a
gazillionaire and thus (the argument goes) that the ideas she writes
about are "easy for her." After reading this book, you'll see that this
assumption could not be further from the truth.

I'm a firm
believer in the concept of KWW - Keep Women Working - and it makes me
angry when I hear of women friends and colleagues who "opt out" of the
workforce or throw in the towel on their high-powered careers because
it's "too much" or they simply choose not to return to the corporate
grind after maternity leave or some other life event that has given them
a taste of "real life."

Well, Sheryl's book clearly shows you
how opting out is NOT part of "real life" and how opting IN - way in -
is the better option.

A great book for young women about to
embark on their professional (ad)ventures as well as women at every
stage of their career - the personal stories, research, advice, insights
and recommendations in this wise book will keep you leaning in, opting
in and standing out in both your professional AND personal life.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-42268854523780997922013-02-07T10:56:00.002-08:002013-02-07T10:59:27.693-08:00My Review: Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-FiI saw the Kindle HD ads and reviews and I must say I was beguiled by the crisp display and the nice portable size. My hopes for the Kindle HD were that I would be able to do my online tasks (emailing, tweeting, blogging, viewing films and TV, reading websites etc) on the move, and that it would be a neat way to carry around all my work-related documents on a handbag sized tablet.
Some of those hopes have been satisfied.

The screen is beautiful (it is slightly smaller than iPad Mini's or the Nexus, but I don't find that bothers me). The touchscreen is also really responsive. I read my kindle books fine on the tablet (although it's INCREDIBLY annoying that Kindle haven't yet worked out how to make my categories carry over from one device to another, and they also don't upload my highlights and notes from personal documents I've sent to my Kindle - seriously Kindle, if you want to corner the academic market, you need to sort that out, and the page numbers issue).

The browser is ok. I don't know why people make a fuss about Silk - there is this cool thing where you can read a lot of text in 'Kindle' mode (ie on a nice clean screen), but it's very (very) slow to load and like all Android devices flash doesn't work so you couldn't watch, e.g., programs on 4OD or other flash clips.
The major disappointments have been about the apps and document storage. The selection is pretty pitiful; you don't have access to the full range of Android apps.

I was hoping for a nice app interface to update my blogger blog - no such luck. For those of us used to Gmail's excellent search facility and threaded emails, the email app will come as a disappointment, it's got 1990's functionality...
And the biggest pain for me has been document storage. The Carousel is fine if you just want to pick up what you were doing last time, but the device is an absolute pain in the bum if you want to find a pdf or other document which you were reading.

For some reason, they don't come up in the carousel, and if you access them via Foxit or similar you spend ages browsing through the Kindle's totally labyrinthine storage system. Would it be so hard to have a simple 'my documents' style location?
And then there's the dropbox disappointment. Everything I use for work is synced on Dropbox, like a lot of people. There is a dropbox app for the Kindle Fire, but you have to sideload it as it's not in the appstore. But even then, it's the Android version of the dropbox app, so it only syncs a fraction of my total dropbox.

That means I have to be online in order to access other files, which for me defeats the purpose of a tablet - which I want to use to carry my documents around so they're always accessible (in meetings etc). In order to get the whole thing synced, it seems I have to download another app called Dropsync, and I feel really peeved that Kindle and Dropbox haven't made this work.

To be honest, I agree with other reviewers - this is just a snazzy kindle. I wish I'd gone for a different tablet. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-52336828898346658972013-01-20T11:08:00.002-08:002013-01-20T11:17:06.208-08:00Shred: The Revolutionary Diet: 6 Weeks 4 Inches 2 SizesI was really psyched to try this after watching Dr. Oz. I went grocery shopping and purchased basic ingredients to get started, but its just too hard to manoeuvre in kindle to use effectively. You can't bookmark, you can't cut and paste recipes, you can't tag rules, meals, etc.

Shred: The Revolutionary Diet: 6 Weeks 4 Inches 2 Sizes

Every phase and recipe category is in different chapters (i.e., smoothies are one chapter, soups are another), and while you can highlight items of interest within chapters, there is no way to just flip to highlights.

Example, if you want to go from the rules and meal choices for a particular phase, you then have to exit that chapter and go to the recipe chapter for the particular meal choice (say, for smoothies), then browse through smoothies page by page till you find the one you want (no way to bookmark to access easily if you want to find/ make again) - then back to the meal choices - exit, to a new recipe chapter (say soups), browse through soups, find one you want to make... then back to meal plan... then you might need to select an item from the seemingly endless list of various snacks... again no way to bookmark or organize favourites so every time you are going to have to go page by endless page... for every meal choice.

I gave up and figured one day when I had time I'd retype the basic meal structure and options/ choices so I could have it in one place and start doing the same for favourite recipes. Of course, that day has never come so I haven't done more than a day of the diet.

WTF is the point of buying an ebook if I have to retype everything to make it useful? This was the biggest waste of money. I wish I could return it and buy the book! Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-61520009635305602332013-01-05T08:45:00.003-08:002013-01-05T08:45:46.995-08:00Love My HD Kindle FireLast year I bought the Kindle Fire and talked a friend into getting one
who hasn't every had a computer and is handicapped. When the HD came
out I wanted to get it. I love the sound when playing music and the
pictures in HD are just like watching our TV.

I was never a reader
until I got my Kindle last year, I hated to read. The Kindle has
changed all of that. My friend who is handicapped and loves to read but
can't drive and health problems makes it hard for her to hold large
books to read and to get out the buy books. I talked her into the Kindle
Fire.

She loves her Kindle Fire and her 43 yr. old handicapped son,
who can't read, has one. He watches moves and plays games and loves his
music. So I had to put a good word in for the Kindle Fire. I got an
idea what to do with my Kindle Fire I bought from last year.

At
Christmas I had a drawing with my family for my Kindle Fire. I purchase
the Kindle Fires last year for Christmas for my family. Each of them
put their names on a paper and we drew the name of the winner of this
package that was wrapped crazy. My son-in-law won it and he loves to
read.

We had a lot of fun with that. I have Prime for my Kindle and
love the free shipping and free books and more with it. I can't say
enough about my Kindle HD. Just got the App. for the camera and having
fun with it also.

With so many reviews here I have absolutely nothing to say about the actual events of that terrible day in Dallas.

Just where I was and what I was doing at that time. I
was getting ready to leave my native Czechoslovakia for the USA (it
took me 5 years more to arrive in New York) and I listened every night
to Voice of America in Special English.

That evening it started slowly but it quickly became a regular broadcast US English I had more difficulty to follow. I understood the tragic news, however. 'President Kennedy was shot' followed quickly by the announcement of his death.

I started to call all friends I had in the city of Prague who tuned their radio to the same VOA broadcast.
Just
as the book describes the American reaction, we had a hard time to
believe what we heard. But it was the reality and the end of an era for a
great part of the world.

Were the three years of JFK's presidency some kind of dream? It looks that way now.

Was
there some kind of conspiracy? Many believe it was. My personal one is
based on the movie Manchurian Candidate, wisely not shown here for
several decades, with Oswald as the pre-programmed automaton.

Even if US agencies knew or suspected something like that, they could not risk WWIII by even hinting it publicly.
So we got some 10 or more conspiracy theories instead that will never be proven or disproved.

The authors did a very decent job and the popularity of their book is well deserved.

In my experience they are well designed, durable and of good quality.
I have had this TV for several months now and so far it has done nothing to change my view.
Just
to qualify my review I have used the TV for Freeview (SD + HD), BT
Vision, Lovefilm Instant, Internet (YouTube, BBC iPlayer etc.),
streaming from my home PC, watching DVDs and Blu Rays (Panasonic Player)
but not gaming.

Good Points.
Excellent picture quality both on HD and SD.
Easy to set up, easy to connect to the Internet (WiFi in my case).
Easy to use.
Good connectivity options (USB, streaming from my home PC (windows 7), Scart, HDMI, PC (Monitor and sound)).

Not so good points - but all minor in my view
Nothing
to do with the hardware but disappointed that I could not connect to
Lovefilm Instant directly from the TV. Have done so via a laptop - but
that's a bit messy.
Position of the connection slots HDMI, USB etc. could have been better placed and made easier to use.
On/Off switch should have been positioned on the front of the TV.

Most of you who keep at least 3 active blogs, a full-time job, a family and social life would relate to this quite well. You plan on doing one thing and something else gets in the way.

Other than that I'm fine and well - thank you for asking :)

Anyway, one good thing that I managed to achieve this month is that all my credit cards and cheap loans have all been paid off. At the beginning of this year, I made a resolution to pay off all my debts before the year ran out - which I have now done. Yay including shifting my domain to the Leicester Square Hotels website ....

It feels great when that weight is lifted of your shoulders. Nothing to worry about, just spend your money the way you have always wanted.

So, with that in mine, I thought I should spend a few spare cash on a new smartphone. With lost of different handsets to choose from, I went for an HTC handset.

But after picking up this HTC One V Sim Free Smartphone on Amazon, it turned out that HTC have ended their support for the handset. Which means that anyone unlucky enough to be using it would have to either upgrade to a newer version or get a different handset.

If I knew this I would not have bought it ofcourse. But I can still return it, but within the last few days, I've become attached to it that the thought of sending it back is not something I'm ready to encourage. So, in the meantime, I will continue using it until I have enough spare cash soon to get a another handset.

Other than that the handset works and looks great - I have no idea why HTC would want to cut their support for the handset short.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-55509454035835943382012-10-20T15:43:00.002-07:002012-10-20T15:43:33.217-07:00This review is from: Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot (Hardcover)I just finished the Kindle Book, "Killing Kennedy" Great read, well
written and researched. Highly recommended. Many new things I hadn't
heard before. Even a personal surprise or two about Bill O'Reilly's ties
to the Kennedy's and follow on of the assassination. I'm not saying Bill
did it or conspired with Oswald, Just saying you should read and check
out his multiple connections.... Coincidence???????

I read this
book in conjunction with watching two TV shows on the assassination.
Based on eye witness accounts of when the first bullet was fired, it's
quite likely it hit some part of the traffic light pole that extended
over the street. A shooter following the president through a scope
wouldn't have seen the pole soon enough to hesitate. Digital blood
spatter overlays match the assumption Kennedy was killed from a rear
shot. Also, I had never seen so many people that were there being
interviewed or knew there were so many other films from that day at
other angles. No magic bullet, no grassy knoll shooter. One shooter,
three bullets.

Not saying a lot of people didn't want Kennedy
dead. Johnson, White segregationists, Hoover, Castro, CIA, The Mob, and
God only knows how many others he pissed off and probably all wanted him
dead. Just not the connections to the case or opportunity like Oswald
had.

Most people post their blog earnings on the first or second day of the month, but due to very tight schedule and other personal commitments, I could not get around to writing my post on how my earning for September was.

That said, I will quickly run through some of the posts on this blog and my other sites that performed far more than I expected. Although, it could be better, most of these post did well because they get far more traffic this time of year than any other. What this goes to show is that focusing on seasonal products and services have better chance of doing well when the time swings back round.

First, this post Erotic fiction needs a touch of wordplay to be foreplay was one of the biggest performers when it comes to income. About 11 people followed the link to buy erotic products which I could not believe. No matter how hard things are these days, keeping your feelings and sexual appetite healthy is still as important as it has always been.

Another one that did perform quite well was - Is Your Affiliate Business Important To You? I did this post after I noticed how well some of my pages on hubpages were performing. Within days of posting this article over 300 people visited the site and over half of them signed up.

If you have not seen the post, please take a minute to check it out and see if there's something for you to pick up from there.

My intention for the month of September was to hit my target of $900, but how did it turn out? Well, after I put together the earnings from various blogs and sites, we came to a total of $1329. This includes private blogging, product reviews, odesk affiliate referrals and Amazon associate payment.

As discussed previously, there are far more ways to make money online, you just need to find what works for you and stick with it. For me, what works now is hubpages and setting up a passive income pages there is all you need. It takes care of itself - literally. Which means once you have a minimum of about 12 pages you are on your way to monthly passive income.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-88479468769340718342012-08-12T04:16:00.004-07:002012-08-12T06:41:32.498-07:00Your Password Emailed in Unencrypted Plain TextIf you have been active on the internet for some time, you will have used many different usernames and passwords more than you care to remember. But what happens when you try to log in to one of those sites and you can't seem to remember your password. Different sites use varying methods to help remember your password - some even require that you submit your mother's maiden name during the initial account set up.

Others in the other hand - especially Google, lately require that you submit a valid phone number so that when you forget your password, it can easily be sent to the number you selected.

But what has now been under heavy scrutiny lately is that some online heavy weights are emailing customers' passwords via email in plain text form. The fact that they can do this means that anyone in the company with access to the database can just as easily see these passwords in plan text as well.

One of such companies is Tesco. The company came under fire only when a researcher discovered that the company, for a very long time, has been sending password to users in unencrypted plain text. Of course this totally goes against security best practice. What this means is that if a hacker manages to get their hands on the data, everything would be in plain text. Although, this is a major security issue, this alone does not necessarily mean that their system is open to compromise.

Seeing that other high profile companies like Yahoo! and LinkedIn have fallen victim to hackers, every company should by now be reviewing their online security and how user details are managed.

However, one simple step that users can take to make sure they are not too vulnerable to identity theft and hackers getting their hands on their vital personal details is to use different usernames and passwords for every sites.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-77745858878627555612012-07-23T13:01:00.000-07:002012-07-23T13:01:34.193-07:00Fifty Shades of Grey just wasn't enough storyline for meMy sister harrassed me and my husband for weeks about getting this book. We were in Costco and my husband pointed the book out to me so I decided to buy the first book to see what all the fuss was about. I decided against the 3 pack bundle and I am so glad I did.

First off the book is an extremely easy read, however, it is repetitive as other reviewers have stated. Also, unbelieveable as other reviewers mentioned....a 27 year old owning a company with 40,000 employees? Come on now...I work for a company with 50,000 employees and my company is several decades old. You don't just start up and own a business of that magnitude in just a few years...I have my MBA but it doesn't take one to figure out that it is total B/S. I am all about willfull suspension of belief but geez... make it a little more believable.

I had high hopes for the book, however, it is just too adolescent for me. I am 33 years old and I couldn't get over the fact that a middle aged woman who is an executive in the television industry wrote this. It makes me wonder how in the heck she got an executive job.

Ok...about the book: Sex, sex, sex, and little plot. This is my first erotica book and I found myself wanting more of a storyline. At first the erotic scenes were hot but then they became repetitive like the rest of the book. I wanted to find out more about Christian in the first book and wanted to find out how he felt about her (Ana) but the ending entailed him beating the shit out of her (Ana) with a belt because she wanted to see "how bad it could be". Then finally she stood up for herself and left him. As a strong woman myself...I decided I liked that ending and decided not to read the other books. I am a hopeless romantic and "The Notebook" is my favorite book which is also an easy read but not to the degree of simplicity and repetitive nature of this book.

Am I mad I wasted my time reading the book...no atleast I know what all the hype is about now. It did make me realize how lucky I am that I have my loving husband so I gave it an extra star for that. I won't bother reading the other two books...I will just google the ending to find out instead of reading through all of the repetitive jargon and lip biting, frowning, smirking, etc. I don't have much time to read...I have 2 small children and I work so if/when I do read a book, the next one will have more of a storyline.

I don't recommend buying the book...borrow it or get it at the library if you want to know what all the fuss is about.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-35186156119586241502012-07-08T10:35:00.004-07:002012-07-08T13:34:13.161-07:00Is Your Affiliate Business Important To YouThis month I planned to post all my earnings from some of the top earning sites and blogs that I maintain. But somehow I got carried away with other things and didn't get round to doing it. As always, this sort of demonstrates what happens to many of the guys out there. Many people have plans to write a blog post but get caught up in other things, and they end up no writing that post.

For me, when it comes to making money online you have to choose what is important to you. Some people spend their time watching their favourite TV programme, eating, facebook, spending time on Youtube watching other people do funny things. If we don't make time for things that matter to us, it's probably because those things don't actually matter to us as we'd like to think.

Gone are those days when I would spend hours on end just browsing the web, soaking up on other people's achievements, how much they's made and how they plan to make even more. These days my focus is on making every minute I spend online count. If there's nothing for me to do, I won't fire up my computer. There is a long list of books to be read, articles to write, products to promote. So, anything spend not doing any of those things can not be regained.

Here are things you could do make sure that you are not waiting time online not promoting your blog.

1. Write a blog post - don't procrastinate, just write that post you've been meaning to write. Once you've done it you could always come back and make it better. The hardest part is to get started but once you've written your first line, it will all start flooding in.

2. Join a good affiliate programme - if are not currently signed up with services like Hubpages, now is the time to sign up. They have one of the biggest and the best for those serious about making passive income online. I signed up a few months ago when I saw how much folks are making and I'm glad I did. To give you a taste of how much people are making, see this screenshot.

3. Invest - investing could be interpreted in many forms - it could be time, money, knowledge or whatever it is. But investing in your online affiliate business could be one of the best decisions to make. Any time or money spent now should be done wisely. If after the projected period you don't get any returns then try something else.

Those are a few of the things you could do to get you started. But what matters here is that you don't spend vital hours browsing the web when you could be making money. There are lots of programmes and blogs on how to get started. But if you are like some of my friends and you need someone to work with, I would be more than happy to show you the ropes for a weeks and let you carry on from there.

Remember, the future is for those who prepare for it today.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-1482453305433755012012-06-23T18:09:00.000-07:002012-06-23T18:09:07.078-07:00Fifty Shades Trilogy - annoying and repetitiveI will admit that the first of the three in the trilogy was good. In the second the characters started to become more unrealistic and annoying. The basic layout of the second book was they got into a fight then they had sex then they talked about how much they loved each other then there would be a little bit of the plot.

In all honestly the author could have just copied and pasted all the sex scenes and lovey dovey talks and it would be the same book. The third book was just unbearable. I stopped halfway through because of Christians obnoxious need to control everything she did and Ana's even more annoying need to give in on what she wanted just to make him happy. She would be telling him how she felt only to have him seduce her mid argument.

As a result he continued to be controlling and it felt as if he never respected her independence. In my opinion the book is saying that it is okay to be in a controlling relationship when the sex is good as long as he seems to be making an attempt to change. The second and third book romanticize this unhealthy controlling relationship that this young girl is in.

I also do understand that this is a fantasy book, but it was more unrealistic than a cheesy horror movie on the SyFy network. First off Christian started his company when he was either 19 or 20 (because he did complete 2 years of college) and by the age of 27 he was making about $100,000 an hour.

Not only that but he had enough time to become amazing in bed, which as most women know it takes quite some time to train most men. Second, Ana climaxes at least once every time they have sex. Again if it was like this and they only had sex a few times in the book, then it would be believable. They also get married a couple of months after meeting and none of their friends or family put up a fight about this.

Everyone just asked them if they were sure this is what Christian and Ana then went on their marry ways. Finally, there wasn't a prenup! I don't personally know any billionaires, but I am assuming they would get prenups.

Bottom line, if you want to read a book with mediocre sex scenes and your fantasy is to have a man control you not only in the bedroom but in your life then this trilogy will be a good read for you. If not then the first book in the trilogy is good and I would recommend just finding a summary of the 2nd and 3rd online.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-12092183465950817552012-06-18T14:56:00.001-07:002012-07-08T02:33:06.443-07:00Erotic fiction needs a touch of wordplay to be foreplayEvery few years a piece of erotic fiction reinvents sex for us. What happens to women’s libidos between Melissa P’s One Hundred Strokes of the Brush Before Bed and Belle de Jour’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl is anyone’s guess (presumably we all get a huge amount of needlework done), but somehow we white-knuckle it through until the next humdinger.

The latest tale to set us all a quiver is E L James’s Fifty Shades of Grey – now the fastest-selling paperback since records began. Written by British mother-of-two Erika Mitchell, the book tells the story of Anastasia Steele and her sexual awakening at the hands of ageing buffoon – sorry, handsome billionaire – Christian Grey.

Sexual awakenings are rather unusual these days. There's a reason why the heroines in “mummy porn” tend to be fully awakened raging nymphomaniacs with sadomasochistic tendencies: when you find yourself married to a paunchy banker whose idea of a "sexting" is “Don’t forget the Mr Muscle”, you probably wish you’d spent your youth being tied up by every plumber, tennis instructor and viscount you met, too.

Women are pathologically lazy creatures, though, so when Catherine Millet described in her Sexual Life how she was only able to reach orgasm after 300 men, I think we were all rather relieved that we’d left the exploits to her.

A flick through Fifty Shades of Grey tells me why it's a winner. Like Austen's Emma (on which all erotic fiction plot lines are said to be based), this bestseller features a traditional build-up and the prerequisite ripped-jeans-wearing old sleeze-bag. Still, there’s a fundamental problem: the writing.

Bad writing has the same effect on my libido as Bryan Ferry – sending every motor neuron into emergency shutdown.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-30384612393617310052012-06-02T10:56:00.005-07:002012-06-02T14:16:17.596-07:00Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez rewards his three millionth follower on Twitter with a new house.Like most people, I too have a Twitter account when I connect with people I find interesting. But for one lucky Venezuelan, following someone on Twitter has earned her a house from no other than their president. Rumour has it that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez gave a house to Valdivieso as a gift for being his 3 millionth follower on the popular networking site, Twitter.

In the last could of years, the president has not only started using the internet heavily, he has also joined many social networking sites like Youtube, Myspace, Facebook and most recently, Twitter.

According to reports, he kept in contact with his government officials back home in his country while he was away in Cuba on medical treatment for cancer.

4 Guaranteed Ways to Make Money Online

The president sent a tweet to the Valdivieso to congratulate her for being his 3 millionth follower. She could not believe when the news go through to her that was to get a house. The government however, has been going through a massive public housing programme to deal with the countries housing issue. While this is a one off, many critics of the president have hit back this was not a good way to reward someone for simply being a supporter.
As a result I have been spending time riding my bike. For a bike lover like myself whenever the sun comes out, I usually make good use of it. The only problem is that the cops would not allow bike riding in the park which means that the only few places to ride is the main roads and back streets.

so with today being quite warm and dry, I decided to go riding on the South Bank with a friend. The streets were calm - not a lot of traffic but nonetheless it was still busy with midday church goers all on the road which meant that we had to be a little more careful.

Before I move on, I would like to say a big thank you to those who wrote in with their feedback on the Tyre Inflator review. We bike enthusiasts love to share what makes life a little easier as well as the tools we use. With that in mind I thought I would share my experience with you on Astro Pneumatic.

The Astro Pneumatic is a much more expensive Tire inflator compare with this one. It is not cheap - the reason is that it is a combo of inflater and gauge. Which means that not only can it be used to inflate your tyre, it can also be used to gauge it.

This gauge is awesome. Air seems to get through effortlessly without resistance when inflating -which is what you'd want. But if for any reason you think you've over inflated your tyre, depressing the lever a bit will bleed off extra air. Holding the lever all the way will inflate again. With this Astro Pneumatic you can easily achieve the pressure you want. The gauge shows you the pressure on the small digital screen allowing you to either inflate or deflate.

I've checked this against a few on the market which I have used in the last this appears to be what everyone should be using. You definitely cannot go wrong. Like I said initially, it is a little on the pricey side, but remember you always get what you pay for. Did I mention that it has a very long hose?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-2934250355469053202012-04-15T10:36:00.011-07:002012-06-30T03:31:33.185-07:00Tyre Inflator - Ultraflate Plus Tire InflaterSince I changed job last year, my daily commute has also changed from cycling to spending over an hour on the train each morning - which means that the only time I get to ride and enjoy my bicycle is on the weekends and evenings ( that's if the weather permits).

In my previous job everyone used a bike because the office was in an industrial complex on the opposite end of town with very little traffic. And because everyone was using bicycle, it was normal for me to get one when I joined. So, not only did I save on fares, it also allowed me to enjoy the great outdoors and also get to ride around.

But as anyone who owns a bicycle knows, one thing that can really dampen your is when you have a flat tyre. It doesn't matter whether you're on the road or about to set off on your daily ride. When I had one last week just a few minutes into my evening ride, I was forced to jump on a bus back home. Luckily I use one on those folding bikes from Evans Bikes. If I had one of those Tyre Inflator thingy, I guess that would have helped, but unfortunately, I didn't have any. Besides, how many people do you know riding around with Tyre Inflator in their Avenir Bigmouth Velcro Seat Bag?
The cool thing about it is that it's even very stylish and small to fit into your breast pocket. I just bought one after I had my tire deflated last week and thought this would be something I could take with me on my rides.

Here's a video of how small these Tyre Inflators are and how to put it together once you have the package.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-7382954172960999522012-04-14T03:05:00.001-07:002012-04-14T03:07:21.457-07:00The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's NestThe Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest: Okay, so I made this my break book for work so I could read it slowly. After all, it is the last book for Larsson, ever (unless the rumors are true). That lasted until about halfway through the book because I then spent two late nights reading the second half of the book.

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest starts about 40 minutes where the last book left off. Lisbeth is in dire straights and Blomkvist must protect her. The plot revealed in book 2 is a major plot line to this story. There are a few sub-stories that keep the pages turning. I started to get worried at the end because I wanted to see everything wrapped up because there are no more books.

I am so team Lisbeth. This whole series is exceptional. Yes, Lisbeth spends most of her time in a hospital bed in this book, but it is what she does there to free herself that is entertaining. Blomkvist is still a 'ho and Berger has new job blues.
Side note: I called my work roommate at home today to tell her that I had finished and we could now talk about it. She's on medical leave and couldn't talk too much. She had already finished the series and thanked me for introducing her to the series. She in turn, has two others hooked on it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472172.post-13982553403806098162012-03-28T13:26:00.000-07:002012-03-28T13:26:50.085-07:00Robin Gibb cancels tours and appearances as he undergoes more surgeryRobin Gibbs fans the world over are today worried as the star undergoes more intestinal surgery.
